Hi Adrian, many thanks for getting back to me. No I don't know how to contact you at your shop, I only know that it could be in Bath?? I can be contacted through my website which is Solway Ceramics, but not sure whether I'm allowed to put the email ad on or not. But can try, www.solwayceramics.co.uk If there is a problem someone will remove this pronto no doubt! Big Grin
Many thanks! Hug

Hi HLG31. No cost, it's just a publicity image her people sent me that I can email if you wanted a copy, only I can't put my email address on the post. Do you know how to find my shop website? You can email me through that.

Hi Adrian, that would be great, let me know cost etc. I have always looked forward to Ina time at 6.30 or I can watch it later on if I am busy. So couldn't understand what had happened and I'm having withdrawal symptons! Many thanks Big Grin Big Grin Hug

Hi HLG31. No I don't know either - leave it with me. I think they may also be an issue with the posts because half of my last message is missing. It was supposed to also say if anyone wanted a copy to let me know.

Hi All,
Yes, strange, I posted a message two days ago asking about what's happened to Ina, but can't see the message. Where is Ina? We need her back again, my half slot with glass of red wine in hand whilst I enjoy her programme has gone??!!
Adrian, I wondered if you might know. Azelia, are you still reading the posts and are you ok?

Adrian,
Stocking light and dark corn syrup would be great as it almost imposable to find a substitute for it over here, golden syrup and treacle are far to thick Big Grin

Hi Adrian,
Great to hear from you. A while back Ina showed us a recipe for Wheatberry Salad, it looked gorgeous, but we couldn't find the wheatberry in the UK. I know I could use brown rice, but perhaps you could ask about wheatberry for me, that would be great.
Many thanks Hug

Hi All. Just a quick one - Ina's PA is sending me a detailed list of ingredients and things that Ina uses so I can try and source them, but I was wondering was there anything you can think of that she uses that we can't buy here? Also, with regards to the boat - I think Ina knows that if he had one she'd never see him again!

the one with them all on the beach having a bbq, how did they not get mobbed by seagulls? Maybe American seagulls are better fed naturally not to bother human food. Smile Delia does a tart like that, with gooseberrys, excpet, she paints the pastry with egg white so that the pastry stays crisp.

Yes, I know for a fact that Jeffery can well afford to have his boat, also, he deserves it! What has happened to all the Back to Basics episodes, have they finished them already?
Azelia, are you still around? Hug

To Andrea - UKTV

What do you mean "if she came back"??? I didn't even know she's been to UK nor been a guest on our UK Food Channel. Confused

I think like everybody on this thread if Ina were to come to the UK i would definitely make the journey, fingers crossed she will be over here sometime next year, i think she may be surprised as to how many fans she has over here Big Grin

Hi Cornetto. I've known her for a while now and I'm not just saying it to be nice, but yes she is exactly the same as she appears. In fact I've never seen her miserable at all. She is just one of those positive, happy people. Unfortunately that's not always the case as doing what I do I've come across a few people who after being on telly really aren't the same as they come across and start believing their own hype. Whereas Ina can't believe she's famous!

Welcome home Adrian, I was glad to hear that you mentioned us to Ina. Is she the same in real life as she appears on tv. Hug

Hi Adrian,
Great to hear from you about your trip to the US! It must have been absolutely fantastic to meet Ina, I have never been to the east coast, but did have 3 weeks in the San Jose region of California several years back.
If Ina does manage a trip to the UK, I hope that somehow I can make the trip down south from Scotland, that would be fab!
Thanks for letting us know about your visit, it sounds brilliant! Smile

Hey All. Just got back from NY. 6 days of just tasting food - you guys would have hated it! They have so much more choice of good quality food than we do over here, although I think it's a case of their extremes being wider than ours i.e. their low quality food ('cheese whizz' etc) is blimmin awful and worse than our basic stuff, but their gourmet food is amazing. I'll be getting loads of that over in the next couple of months that's for sure! (Maureen take note! Thanks for the kind comments about the shop - see you in Bath soon!) Spent loads of time with Ina on her stand with all the guys from Stonewall Kitchen, she is clearly still very popular in the U.S. as well as here. She was thrilled when I said about you all chatting online about her show and recipes etc, and liking what she cooks. She was getting loads of attention from the press which is a good sign as there are now so many U.S. cooks and cookery shows it's just getting silly over there. She was even interviewed by NBC on their morning show as one of the main people to see at the fair which given that there were literally thousands of stands and cooks is amazing. Obviously I asked about coming to the U.K. which she would love to do and I will try and arrange for sometime next year as this year is too full for her. You'll just have to wait!

JenJen - How bad for you! I feel for you.

I am intolerant to dairy but will take the mick every other week. I suffer the next day or two but love anything that has milk in it.

My middle daughter has food allergies from birth but she doesn't know what she is missing so it's unfair not being able to eat birthday cake at parties and occasionally she moans about it. The only recent developed allergy she has had was maize in the last 2 years and that is bad for her because she adored cornflakes and popcorn and I've had to ban those from the house because even the smell made her want them so much.

I hope you body will settle down and you can eat things now and again.

Your wedding menu sounds fab. Not long now!

Just watching tonight's episode but missed last night's so have to watch it later if my OH hasn't deleted the episode.

I'm with Ina on the butter - nothing taste good without it!!

Hi cornet & homelovingirl - hope you keeping cool in this weather!

Hi JenJen,
I had read your post about the butter in the brownies before I watched the programme and thought it was priceless! Sometimes if I miss it at 6.30 then I can catch it later on, so I was ready and waiting for it when she was melting the "two sticks of butter"!!
The antics of Jeffrey with the tent were great to watch, what a perfect couple they make Hug Hug Big Grin

Loved this mornings programme its Ina's 40th wedding anniversary. Congrats to the both of them, they wanted a low key affair. Loved the idea of the tent, in their garden. Wink

Oh and surely the quote of the year from Ina just now:

'Anyone who tries to make brownies without butter should be arrested'

Love it! Develish
