Sage cuttings

Thread Starter: Kirsten    Started: Sat 19 Oct 2002    Replies: 2

I have just taken root cuttings from my mint so that I can have a supply of fresh indoor mint for the winter. Sage is related to mint, so I would like to know if you can do the same thing with it. The frost got my sage and mint this morning, and I would like to try to keep some through the winter. Thanks, Kirsten

My sage is really sad. It got water logged and has only got little droopy leaves on it now. Is there anything I can do to save it? Should I bring it inside? I re-potted it but that didn't seem to help. Any ideas anyone?

Kirsten, sage cuttings will definately overwinter in in glass frame, so you might get a little bit of supply from a windowsill, while on the subject of mint,I purchased hanging mint at the Chelsea flower show 3 years ago, it reaches 6/8 feet in length in the summer, I have it cascading down my pergola, its wonderful.
