Do you realise that if you mistake lily of the valley leaves for wild garlic leaves you will make yourself really ill and could even die! Be very, very careful! Obviously once the flowers appear it is easy to distinguish between the two............

I appreciate the difference in the leaves, but just wanted to point out the similarity. Here in Austria, people have died from not knowing the difference......

The leaves of wild garlic are not as rigid as lily of the valley and also the smell gives them away as well.
