babsky - you're a mine of information - and I couldn't agree with you more about Barefoot Contessa. I enjoyed The Best series too and it would be great to see Ben O'Donohue in his native country. If Food Safari is a sample of what Australia has to offer - come on UKTV bring us more! I've stopped watching most other programmes!

Food Safari is one if not the best Food programme on UKTV Food ( of course Barefoot Contessa is up there too). Ever since I saw this show when it was first aired ( 1/2 yrs ago) I've been a fan of Maeve ever since.

The contents and presentation are just superb.

IMO most of Australian shows are excellent. I'm looking forward to My Restaurant Rules soon....but why 11pm??? Confused

Now UKTV Food only need to buy Australia - The Best with lovely Ben O'Donohoe reprising his role from the original The Best series.

Annieslats - I don't know about a recipe book but I would be interested too. I have just watched this programme and think it is great. At first I confused it with a much repeated programme On Safari with Mike Robinson and wasn't going to watch. I am glad I did, it is all new and comes from Australia and is excellent. I loved the look of the Lebanese food and would like to learn more about the recipes in the programme. Are any of the recipes on UKTV Food site? I can't find them if they are. Please does anyone out there have any further information? Hug
