Easy BBQ sauce

I'd like to share my own BBQ sauce recipe, you don't need to weigh or measure the ingredients, but I always use my slow-cooker, and the rest of the ingredients can be blitzed in a processor.

This is what I use for about 15 + pork spare ribs:

2 whole red chillis (green, or red, add more if you like hotter), finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed, finely chopped
good drizzle of honey
hefty dose of dark soy sauce
small piece of fresh ginger
and the secret ingredient: either Coke or Ginger ale, about half a bottle, but whatever you use it shouldn't be the diet variety.

Pour over the ribs in the slow cooker, and I usually set mine for about 3-4 hrs on very low. Then, into the last half-hour, whack the heat up high, take off the lid and let everything caramalise. The ribs melt in the mouth, and the sauce is dark, rich and unbelievably sticky!

Nope....I mean about half a litre, so that it covers everything. You need the sugar in the Coke to sticky things up, and with the chillis it makes the ribs sticky, hot AND sweet.

I REALLY WILL TRY THIS RECIPE IT SEEMS TO ME TO BE THE MOST SENSIBLE WAY TO COOK THE RIBS (OR CHICKEN WINGS) SAVES ALL THE ROASTING THEN BRUSHING WITH SAUCE, YOU CAN ALWAYS PLACE IN A HOT OVEN FOR FIVE MINUTES IF YOU SO WISH , ( I EXPECT YOU MEAN HALF OF A SMALL BOTTLE OF COKE NOT THE LITRE SIZE ) THANKS FOR THE RECIPE
