The only way I could cook this is in a slow cooker as I live in rural Spain and don' have an oven. The person who entered this recipe in the Peoples Cookbook said he used a slow cooker, so how did he brown it off????
I tried it without browning but it looked very pale and unappetising - but tasted fantastic, so, please someone, HELP!!!

Thank you so much both of you for your replies. No grill but the blowtorch thing sounds good (never thought of that - duh!!!)

Hi Butterfly. I usually use a grill for browning. Do you have one of those?
