Can anybody give me a few names of good food pubs around the St Tudy area.
We are having a treat and going to Padstowe to Rick Steins Seafood restaurant, but also want something more down to earth but good.

I have to say that Rick Steins was a let down for me. I have been a few times and the first time was brilliant second - nothing to go mad about. If is good food your want head towards Chaple Amble and go to the Malteze Arms - you will need to book a table for this pub but I can gurantee you that Rick Steins wont hold candle light to this place -

It's highly unlikely that Rick will be doing the cooking in his restaurant.
