Hi there
I keep reading receipes that include palm sugar. Can I use normal sugar in place of this and if not, where on earth do I buy it?

I have seen it in my local Tesco and Waitrose (in the oriental food section) although I think you can use light brown sugar as a substitute.

I buy mine in my nearest Chinese supermarket. It tastes remarkably and looks quite like Scottish tablet (a bit like a hard fudge)

Sainsburys stock it in their special section but if you cant find it use demerara sugar instead but not white as you want that slight toffee-ish flavour.
