I was wondering if there were any other allergy sufferers like me out there, that could give me a clue to recipes etc...

I'm allergic to, Nuts, seeds, peppers, grapes, corn, carrots, parsnips, citrus fruits, onions, garlic, chives, leeks, whole wheat (granary style bread, snacks etc), rice, caffeine, phenylalanine, E150... and probably a few I forgot about lol

HELP!!! I'm tired of eating potatoes!!!!

Back to simple old Nick again :)

When you had the test done was it done by a Fully qualified GP/Consultant/Hospital or cranks from the TV advertising those sorts of things.

If you are allergic to all those things your GP should be able to get you a food prescription and you should be put in touch with a Consulant at the Hospital.

There are many harlots and charlatans proclaiming to be able to test everything, but it's pants and dangerous. Get it done properly by the NHS.

I know tthat you can buy gluten free pasta in the spermarket now - I don't know what it tastes like but it may be worth a try!

Sainsbury's do a free-from range of foods and Tesco also have a special section for people with food intolerance. It might be worth further research Hug

Hi, what happens to you when you eat these things? I was told that I was allergic to everything, the only meat I could eat was heart and kidneys and the only dairy was goats milk and cheese. I was allergic to a lot of fruits and veg too, salt, yogurt, wheat, nuts, soap powder, perfume, make up etc etc the list was endless. Funny thing is I'm fine with all of those. The test that was done didn't however point out any seafood and I was apparently fine with that type of food... how wrong... I seriously pass out when I eat seafood and am very ill for a few days. My doctor told me the only way to find out was to eliminate food and re introduce one by one. A slow and very painful process but worth it. And yep... seafood is the only problem for. There is no way I am eating plates of heart and goats cheese!!!! Who tested you, or are these things that badly affect you?

Poor you, I'm not up to recipes but my youngest is also allergic to nuts and seeds as well as tomatoes. My middle one to potatoes. So cooking can be a real struggle already.
Can you tell me if food allergies can give tummy ache/bloating as my eldest suffers badly and is due her allergy tests in a couple of weeks? I know the damage nuts can do and unfortunately here in Poland there isn't the diligant labelling I saw in the UK. Any hints would be most welcome.
By the way can you eat cous cous or is it corn based; or groats (I looked that one in the dictionary) which are very popular here.
