[Confused] This is probably an impossible question but does anyone know what the theme tune to "Floyd on Great Britain and Ireland" is? It's possible it was made for the show but if anyone knows otherwise it would be much appreciated!

its deffinitely Waltz in Black by the stranglers. I have it as a ring tone. Brill !!!

the keith floyd music was all taken from the stranglers early stuff "peaches and waltz in black. cheers paul

The opening sequence on early Floyd programs is " Waltz in Black " by The Stranglers.
Went to see them a couple of years ago and they were ace, really bringing back their heydays of the late 70's.
Pity these days there are "No More Heroes"

DID SOMEBODY MENTION THE STRANGLERS ???
They also did "Men in Black" and "Vladimir and Sergei" tracks for Floyd on other programmes.
PS They are playing soon in London, Yeovil and Nottingham and the new album is due out later in the year (Fingers crossed) They are still as fantastic as ever - And Hugh Cornwell is touring at the moment with his 5th (?) solo album as well
