Amazing Bullet vs Magic Bullet

Thread Starter: zapzap    Started: Thu 25 Aug 2005    Replies: 16

Hi - Is there really any difference between the Magic Bullet and the Amazing Bullet?

I'm thinking about getting the Amazing bullet based on price - does anyone have one of these? How good are they?

Hi Mad Monty: The plastic connecting bits are black on the base and on the bottom of the cup. I think I saw where someone had ordered an extra base and cups on one of the posts. Does anyone have the full info where I could look it up on the internet possible and order some. My machine is not actually the "Magic" bullet but is the "Amazing Bullet". I think possibly this is a cheaper version.

The seller on ebay has me though. The actual selling price was $.99 with the shipping being $34.99 and mandantory insurance of $5.00 for a total of $40.98. He makes it clear there are no refunds and even if there were it would only be $.99. lol I checked with Fed Ex and the shipping would only be about $10.00 so that is where he has got me.

I did write to him but I haven't heard anything back and don't really expect to. I think I have learned my lesson on this one lol......If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is....Have a good one...Luvn

Hi,
I got mine from ebay and they work great. I bought extra jars and where it isn't as extreme as your case, I noticed the blades on the extra cups were a lot stiffer than the ones I originally got. Now, when I ran the new cups, they generated heat and started to melt the inside where the blade goes through the cup. I ran this with water to create a load for the blades. the water had tiny black plastic bits in it. The blades that work well have a white plastic bit that makes it turn, the extra, faulty ones were made of black plastic... What colour were the plastic connecting bits on your blades, Luvn?

Angry I bought the Amazing Bullet thinking it was the Magic Bulleton ebay. I think it was misrepresented because it said amazing Magic Bullet. However, I did receive the Amazing Bullet just today. I unpacked it, read the book so i would know how to operate it. It immediately sheared the little things that make it turn and started smoking. I did not hold it down to long or anything. In fact, I don't think the blade ever actually turned. If all the amazing bullets aren't any better than mine, DON'T buy one. I don't expect that the seller will do anything about it and I doubt that Ebay will either so I guess I just bought an expensive lesson. Be careful especially on Ebay, the sellers can fool you and I really thought I was a pretty smart shopper.

If there are only two prongs then it's not British (we have three). You also need to be careful of the voltage requirements as we have 240V supply here in the UK and also Europe is something similar so you probably need a transformer - best ask for some professional advice!

HELP! I just bought an Amazing Bullet and discovered that the plug in is different. I'm asuming it is UK version. It has two wide prongs. In the US we have one wide and one narrow. I've been trying to find a converter - Foriegn to US. Confused No luck. Any suggestions?

As per my earlier post. My Magic Bullet, Cross Blade and Flat Blade have arrived from Thame Direct - £5 each - total £20 inc P&P.

Worth remembering if your bits wear out or if you just want a spare - seems to be £5 for everything, base unit, cups and blades. Would also be a cheap way to get a basic set.

Carl.

I have got the heavy duty gaskets i got from ebay but never used them. someone pointed out, if you actually take care and have them installed right then the original ones should last.

Hopefully I am wrong and have heavy duty gaskets there i will need soon

I have noticed that the blades you get with the magic bullet (black rubber bit on the underside) are quite stiff to turn with your finger and the amazing bullet blades (white rubber bit underneath) turns quite freely. (got both types cos of an ebay mess up)
After running both for approx 15 secs, the magic bullet blade was very hot from friction. I wonder if my magic bullet blades are all suspect. I think it unlikely as it seems to be all MB blades.

In future I will be buying amazing bullet bits. (all bits work independant of the manufacturer)

Anyone else confirm/deny this?

Oh I see. Well I've only seen pictures of both and they do look identical so it should be ok. I have the Magic Bullet myself but out of all those available, it would appear the Magic and the Amazing are the best ones. Lots of cheaper versions out there! Frown

You should be fine - hope you enjoy it! Big Grin

Hi Flaky,

Yeah I read that. However there are people sayin that it is the european version of the magic bullet. I was wondering if anyone had seen them together.

I've ordered an amazing bullet - just hoping it's not rubbish!

Oh I see you've already posted your question on the thread I gave you the link to. Doesn't that give you enough info? Confused
