sorry new to this game,want to make some scones,and recipe says strong white flour,is this plain or self raising.

Do you need baking powder as well? I was just thinking cos. Ross Burdon made some scones on RSC last night and he says he'd forgotten the baking powder,so they turned out dead crunchy!

Strong white flour is used to make bread,it is plain and will be labelled on the packet as suitable for bread making.
