I want to know

Thread Starter: Bilgola    Started: Mon 22 Aug 2005    Replies: 5

I was watching your program and am worried that you placed a raw egg, in it's shell, amongst the flour which was being used in the recipe tonight. The shell was touching the raw ingredients that was used in the recipe. Could this not be a bad thing to use in the recipe.

Make sure you buy certified eggs from the U.K.

I believe there is no salmonella in those eggs.

It all matters on how much you trust the egg. For me if I know the egg is organic and from a trusted farm I do not worry. Salmonella is usually transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal faeces. But Salmonella is killed when the food is cooked. So, as long as the other ingredients were cooked there should be nothing to worry about.

But remember there are many recepies that use eggs and the eggs are not cooked, it is all about how much you trust the farm you egg came from Smile
