Electric coffee machine

Thread Starter: suzanne25    Started: Fri 05 Aug 2005    Replies: 2

I have just bought a new Morphy Richards coffee machine. I thought the coffee came out really weak, so I now filter it twice and it seems perfect. Do you think this will damage the machine?

Hi Fantasia, it is one that does filter on the left and expresso on the right.I shall definetly try that soaking bit first I should imagine that would make it quite a bit stronger. I have bought coffee beans and ground them, can you or anyone reccomend a good coffee bean I can buy from a supermarket. Many Thanks

Seeing the amount of gunk that comes out of my machine when I descale it anyway, I would say don't do it, but you could always descale on a more frequent basis.

Other suggestions are to use more coffee, it could depend on the size of "cup" they mean and the size of spoon or scoop you are using.

Or, turn the machine on for a few mins until the coffee is soaked, then turn off for 5 mins to let it brew then on again to finish the operaion.

Exactly what sort of machine is it?
