wonton wrappers

Thread Starter: boeing    Started: Wed 03 Aug 2005    Replies: 2

In the States all the supermarkets sell wonton wrappers in packets (or frozen) they are wonderful for making Chinese dimsum but also a great cheats way for ravioli. So far I have failed with the supermarkets here and the internet only seems to have wholesalers. UK TV Food talks a lot about using wonton wrappers but does anyone know where they can be bought (other than a Chinese market shop), please ?

I have bought them from Sainsbury and Tesco, packets not frozen, with the other Chinese ingredients.

Hi vanier

Have you tried Wing Yip? Either in one of their stores or on-line? Where are you based? I know they have stores in Croydon and Birmingham and I think they may have one in the Manchester area but not 100% certain. Good luck in your searches.
