I seem to be having an oriental moment of late, and I am tending to buy ready meals and/or jars and jazz them up. I would like to cook something from scratch, however I lack time, and ingredients (small kitchen, no cash) - I have soy, sesame oil and chilli sauce. Everything I try is either bland or so spicy you cant taste the food. I guess it is all down to our old friend MSG. Any advice? Also my Chow Mein never tastes anything like the restaurant one. Help!
