Roast Belly of Pork

Thread Starter: Graca Queen    Started: Tue 05 Jul 2005    Replies: 9

Does someone remember this? I am not sure how old the programme was and who the chef was - I think it was Rick Stein but I am looking for the way it was roasted. I know it was put on a rack with water in the roaster but.....??
Any help with the recipe would be appreciated. Confused

There is a divine recipe in Rick Steins Food Heroes book 'Crisp Chinese Roast Pork'. The meat side of the pork is marinaded in salt, pepper & chinese 5 spice then cooked on a rack above water in a tray. I have also used this method but rubbed the pork with garlic. Maybe this is the recipe you have seen - good luck!
