Old Fashioned Lemonade

Thread Starter: Fluffy Puppy    Started: Tue 05 Jul 2005    Replies: 10

In the receipe part of this website Lotte Duncan has a recipe for Old Fashioned Lemonade. Although when reading through it it says add the Tartric acid - but doesn't say how much in the list of ingredients does anyone know? Also where can I buy tartaric acid?

Thanks

Fay

Also, if you add just water, not sparkling, then it really is like old fashioned lemonade!

I have a delicious recipe a friend gave me, that doesn't use any acid if that is helpful!

Mix the juice of 2 lemons with 2 tablespoons of sugar in a jug. Top up with sparkling water or just water, and add ice. Enjoy! Big Grin

Hi Helen, been off on the old travels again, then a daughter getting married in 2 weeks, where does the flipping time go to.

Citric acid can be hard to obtain because of its use by druggies.

Fluffy Puppy -

I just watched the video of Lotte making the Lemonade and it says 50gr of tartaric acid. She did say you should be able to buy this from a chemist, but if not you can use citric acid.

Hi Fluffy, if you dont get any joy you could contact lotte directly via her website

she will answer any question you may have im sure. I would have thought the health food shops or boots will sell it but not had to get it myself. Though I love homemade lemonade. Cheeky
