I am soooooo sorry I wrote the above in a hurry and now reading it realise that it actually makes no sence at all!!!! if you nee me to translate just let me know!! The Chinese place did used to be super, they used to do these fantastic chicken wings that were so popular you would have to order them a day in advance. I know during Cowes week they would always be booked a year in advance and getting a table during that particular week would be fairly impossible.
Have fun though. I can see the isle of wight from my house, its a fab place to visit I hope you have a super time.

Murrys (fish place used to have a very good reputation) think that is the name in cowes used to be nice and also the chinese or thai (well worth a go f it is still there) also in cowes(on the way down to the sea front towards the Royal Yaught Squadron. Another one that was nice (I think) was the Red Duster BUT I did go to these places during cowes week (a few years ago now and several years in a row and they where all consistant)and did tend to be a little tipsy!!!!!

Back to simple old Nick again :)
There is a nice bar called the "Something" Mouse, can't remember the full name, and the food was good, and it had a range of 365 whiskies.
But that was 5 years ago, so don't know if it's still the same

Lucy I think we're staying in Sandown but plan to drive around most of the island while we're there. Have you been to any nice restaurants in IOW?

The George Hotel in Yarmouth has a good, although very expensive restaurant but I prefer Salty's just down the road which is a bustling fish restaurant. It gets really busy even when the weather's bad so booking is advisable.
Have fun wherever you go!
