cherry ripe!

Thread Starter: Snowy43    Started: Tue 14 Jun 2005    Replies: 4

Please could you give me some ideas as to what to make with lots of ripe cherries? Don't know what sort they are -they're black and small and fairly sweet. Know I could make jam, but we don't eat much of it. Can I freeze them with the stones in or is it better to remove them?
Thanks x

Thanks Frexy and Livewire. Will make a clafoutis and some cherries jubilee and freeze the rest. Wish I could send you some Livewire, but they would be a in a bit of a state by the time they arrived!! Smile

Hi Snowy -

From my freezer book:-

Wash and dry. Remove stones if they are going to be kept frozen for more than 6 months. Open freeze and when frozen pack into polythene bags.

Send me some, I love them.
