Thank you. It is one way that my kids will eat all thier meat and veg. I love it and miss the way my mother does it.

'Corned' beef is salted beef - haven't done it for years, but the recipe used saltpetre. Maybe if you asked for salt beef - wouldn't find it in supermarkets here, but maybe in a deli. Jewish butchers may have it as it is a traditional way of curing beef. Hope this helps.

I'm from New Zealand. And I used to cook corned beef in a pot with veges. I see that they do it in Ireland as well. But if I ask at supermarket for corned beef, they show me the tinned food section. Does any one know what to ask for. Cmon feathers I'm counting on you Smile

Mind you, with all that is going on around the world right now. I don't suppose the copyright police will be at our local library.( I hope) But cheers Ralph, As I to was getting a bit freaked out about the thing

Confused, confused confused. Just been reading other threads. Who is genuine and who is not ?? Has Frexy been right all along regarding libraries, photocopiers and copyright and trying to protect us. If so, thank you. Lot of bad comments on this site as of late. I dont wish to be involved. Dont get me wrong, I will read purely for the entertainment value. However, I dont wish to advise people to photocopy recipes if the law dosent allow (even though the world and his wife do).

Maybe Im not that naive then !!! Was beginning to think whether Id imagined the photocopier. On the other hand, Frexy's being kind by advising us about copyright.

You can photocopy from any library book at a library that has a photocopier, maybe not the whole book but I copy pages all the time from reference books I can't take away with me, and there is no problem at all, no different to hand copying it.

Just do not want any fellow posters to get into trouble Feathers.

I know of other site where they are quite a few sites happy to post any recipes you ask for but understand the difficulties there are with copyright.

Glad you have kiwiz. Enjoy.
Sorry for any misunderstanding. My library has a photocopier and I was a tad ignorant for thinking you could copy from books. Therefore, I shall use the photocopier at work Wink

Ahhhh, illegal to photo copy books like this.

Most libraries will not do it.

Have a look on the inside page of any recent books and it will say something like...this cannot be reproduced by any means including photocopying without the prior permission of the publisher.

Its my hubbys favourite dish. He HAS to have it at least once a month.
Its in Jamies first ever cookbook (obviously titled 'The Naked Chef').
Perhaps you can go to the library and photocopy it from their copy.
