smoking bags

Thread Starter: chocy flower    Started: Wed 17 Nov 2004    Replies: 12

Jenny mentioned on todays show about a smoking bag that you can buy for around £1.95. She was saying that the woodchips are inside the bag and that all you have to do is place your chicken in the bag then into the oven, doe's anyone know where I can buy them from?

Alysha Jane, anyone can post a tip but you are right, I don't think anyone outside UK can win a prize. Shame really, I could do with a bottle of champagne!

alysha jane, I didn't know you lived in Australia too. Are you Aussie?

Likewise, if I see these smoking bags available over here I will let you know.

I'm in NSW Mary, I haven't seen them either. I live in the Blue Mountains area. If I hear of them being available anywhere, I'll be sure to let you know!

Dear bestmum, I put 2 lb (£1.99 per lb at Morrison's) of salmon, skinless fillet - covered with a good sprinkle of dill & olive oil (cheaper at Lidl's)_- cut into 6 portions - on a 'Lakeland' teflon tray that just fits! - into a SAVU SMOKER BAG on HIGH oven for 45 mins. - left it to rest for about 10 minutes - it was astoundingly good!!! even better cold!!!!!
