Gary Rhodes Friends for Dinner

Thread Starter: St. George    Started: Wed 03 Nov 2004    Replies: 11

Did anyone see Gary Rhodes friends for dinner yesterday. I'm looking for the recipes shown ie prawn cocktail, rolled roast chicken breasts with mushroom sauce and the dessert which I think was a choc. sponge with raspberries covered with raspberry jelly. I came in rather too late to note the details. Many thanks (if not any idea which of the books they come from) Gill

Whether it is Cottage or Country Marcelle, it still won't be on this site due to copyright. Read the previous posts for more info. Smile

Marcelle -

You will not find any of Gary Rhodes recipes on this site due to copyright. You could try a web search, but I don't think you will be very lucky.

Afraid you either have to buy or borrow the book, check your local library.

I'm also looking for the pud if you have any luck chetleycheese. Have found three very helpful butchers who have/are supplying me with pigs caul for the rolled chicken. One butcher says he uses it for his special sausages so might give that a try as I will have so much.

Hi, has anyone found the recipe for the dessert made on this programme? The raspberry jellies with chocolate? Is it not in the British Classics book? Please help! Confused

Yes Gary's are in his British Classics. The rolled chicken is so easy, don't be put off by it. I did it without a processor to mince up the bits of chicken.

Hi Georgie, good to hear from you too. Have now moved from St. Georges to the Heart Hospital in London for my HOCM. Am still managing to cook (just, keeps me from pulling out my hair) realise I'll have to buy the book(yes!) I think it's his British Classics.

Just seen who started this thread - Hello Gill! How are you? I do hope you are well - I do remember talking to you about your health many months ago.

Friends for Dinner was originally a BBC production and the BBC Food website has many of the recipes from the series including Gordon Ramsey... but excluding Gary Rhodes - all down to copyright I suppose.

www.bbc.co.uk/food then click on find a recipe and select Friends for Dinner from the drop down menu.
