Sorry Paul Roseby does it for me, as soon as I see is name it time to change channels and watch something probably even more boring as long as it is not him. Sad really, I'm convinced that he's a really nice person it's just me.

good one, relishmama...i cannot stand wild and fresh either. and you're right, it is a good concept. for some reason, i don't particularly care for galley slaves either, but certainly not to the degree of wild and fresh or the ridiculous beauty and the feast! Mad

Wild and fresh, not for him he is lovely and the food is "wild and fresh, but its her, the warbler from down under strumming on that guitar. Drives me nuts and I have to hit either mute or to another chanel which is a shame because the concept, the scenery and the cooking are fab.
Rustie with you on the river Cafe, not so much switch it over , just dont bother, never grabbed me. which is odd because they specialise in Italian food, which I Lurrrve

i think goldie1 IS talking about River Cafe. I know it's been talked about before, but one of the VERY FEW programmes I immediately switch off is Beauty and the Feast...can't stand it!

I have to agree goldie!!

Delia really needs to give up.

I think that the program you are talking about is the italian cookbook. I think it is boring as well.

I like Masterchef and Ready Steady too but I flick when those two women come on who cook italian all the time.See I don't even know the name of the programme cos it bored me that much.I don't mean Two fat ladies cos they're brill!Sorry but I can't cope with Delia either.

I actually do like Masterchef. Sorry guys. I like Ready Steady Cook too. Unlike ready steady cook though, Masterchef is about the amateur chef having a go. I like to see the different ways in which the chefs with no obvious training prepare and cook their dishes, i think that is quite good to watch.

Hmm, the programme that I dont care for is.....well this may upset someone, but I dont really care for Delia.

I can't stand Kitchen Takeovers either, the "contestants" dont seem to be allowed to do anything, just watch a chef, the food is not their own, they have no input. Wasn't too keen on Paul Roseby either, however I have revised my opinion of him since seeing him on GFL on Friday, I thought he was excellent as a host, perhaps a studio audience brings out the best in him.

Who's presenting the programme grubhead? Is it Gary Rhodes again?

Sat 28 Aug 2004, 3.11PM

grubhead

Masterchef has changed it's format now. They are running heats at the moment I know because my bro has been chosen to go through. Then all the selected winners will go through to the last bit and have to work in a top restaurant kitchen (a bit like hells kitchen). Can't think of anything worse personally!

LOL - course you are love - all food programmes are like that - take GFL - Jenni may just be a really good actress! Hug

Absolutely...I think the problemI have is..is that how can we tell who was better when we can't taste it?

I mean, if you read a bok or see a painting you know what is good..but with masterchef you are relying on others.

i guess 'Ready steady cook' is a bit like that..but I quite like that..so am totally shooting my arguement in the foot! Big Grin

Loyd Grosman is a real foodie and I'm sure knows his stuff, and the other celeb is usually picked because they too love food. Why should a chef judge? Us commoners know what we like too!

I am not too fussy..I like most of them..but have to say I don't get on with Masterchef.

Never have.Frown

I know it is a lovely show and all..but could never get round the fact that 'celebs' chose the winner..and of course, as we cannot taste it, it is hard to say if they are right or not. So the whole repeats of that I am actually switching off...mind you...the concept was a good idea.
