I'm glad it went so well leelee. So you used the Old Faithful, ever dependable 'Good Food' mag. Brill innit! My God! Feeding time at 4.42!! These wee things have little conception of time, huh! :-)

hi there guys. its now....4.42 in the morning and im feeding my wee one. just to let you know the meal went great. toad in the hole with creamy mashed potato and parsley. with fresh veggies, i even spiced up my usual TITH by looking up good food lives 'best ever' version, with honey and mustard in the yorkshire pudding. simple but efective. i even introduce my mum in law to uktvfood website.....good you may think...however shes already pointed out several other dishes she wants me too cook now...HELP..all round success.
thanx guys!!!

Hi leelee, Congrat's on being new mum. I would serve toad in the whole with a really nice roasted onion gravy and mashed potatoes, buttered greens, petit pois and something else colourful . Juilienne carrots. Nothing to fussy. Snoozy has posted her own version of toad in the hole if you look under her name. Must get back to work now. No time for posting untill tonight but hope you have a nice evening.

Perhaps some lovely lightly boiled spring greens or green cabbage tossed in butter with freshly grated nutmeg on top, & good ole mashed potatoes. And a lovely onion gravy to pour over. Or carrots & swede mashed with butter & white pepper, (this is also gorgeous with freshly ground nutmeg), & your suggestion of roasties, plus the onion gravy. Or instead of mash or roast, how about celeriac or parsnip mash? I like half 'n' half ie half celeriac to half potatoes. I'm sure it'll be lovely whatever you choose. Have a good night.
