Bero Flour Cook Books

Thread Starter: mmm_food    Started: Sun 21 Mar 2004    Replies: 9

My mum owned an 'old' bero cook book, which used to come free with the bero flour, and she has lost it. It was one of her favourite cookery books, does anybody know where I could find one for her, it would really make her day.

selsey - I have ?th edition - a little tatty round edges now. My Mum got it by sending tokens off to Bero I think? Think this one dates from early/mid 1950's. Co-op have had them recently - 99p - bought one for sis in USA. Would you believe most recipes still the same! I still love the Melting Moments. And The Ginger Parkin (Sponge one) forms base my messed with recipe - less sugar and more ginger + a large pinch allspice. Smile

I found a sixteeth Edition of BeRo recipes at a car boot sale last year, boot sale and old books shops, charity shops etc are brilliant places for finding real gems.

What is the website? this may seem a stupid question, and we don't buy the bero flour anymore, so don't get the forms...

You can send for the latest from Bero itself, there is usually a form on the Bero pack. They are only £1.25 or they sell them in the Co-op for only 99p.

Try looking on their web site.
