Thread Starter: Nikki A    Started: Fri 19 Mar 2004    Replies: 4

Hello UKTVFOOD.
I am planning a dinner party tomorrow and would like to get some advise on what dessert to have with this meal. For an appetiser I am making prawns with parma ham and brie cheese pasty parcels. For the main meal I am serving sirlon steak grilled served with mash piped mash potato and brockley swirls and garlic mushrooms served on a bed of mixed greens/lettuce salad with mixed peppers, onions.
Can you recommend a dessert to go with this?

Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions. They all are delicious.
It's difficult to decide.
I may have to agree with Paul on this one and go with the chocolate dessert. Somehow you cant go wrong with chocolate.

Hi Nikki, How about something chocolatey?
No suprise from me but I always find a chocolate dessert is always a winner.
There are choccy desserts on this site under my name and many other chefs.

My favourite is either Sacher Torte - Very chocolatey cake, moist and indulgent. Recipe of a similar cake under my name.

Also chocolate fondue with cream liqueur. 300g dark chocolate melted with 400g double cream. Pour into a serving bowl and pour over liqueur. Cubes of fruits, brownies, marshmallows and cookies. A great dinner party dessert as is sparks up lots of conversation.

Good luck,

Paul Young xx
