yellow squash

would it be possible for some one to tell me what yellow squash is, what it looks like and where i can buy it. i have a recipe that says use 12 yellow squash and i have no idea what it is.

the recipes is only meat and vegetables, for 2, i was just curious as to what they were.

If she has to use 12 is the recipe referring to the Patty Pan type of squash? If so Tesco's sell them where they have the pre packed vegetables. 12 Butternut squashes sounds a huge amount :D

12! squash looks like a deflated ballon in the shape of a light bulb, as the name suggests it's a yellowy orange colour and about the sizr of a large aubergine, I think it comes fom the marrow/pumpkin family. Available in most supermarkets Sainsburys/Waitrose just look in the fresh veg dept! Good luck, are you sure you need 12 though, sounds like an awful lot!
