Try some on a pizza, the oil in them keeps them moist whilst cooking and they taste great.

Hi Apollo1

Had a similar predicament myself some time ago but they were not getting any further from the tin than my mouth Smile they are so tasty!

But I wanted to try cooking somthing with them so it was suggested that I do a web search and it brought up loads of recipes. I think there may also be some on this site.

I haven't actualy tried any yet though as I still keep noshing them !

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Smoked oysters are used a lot in Australia. They are simply served on crackers as a nibble. They do sell a dip in the supermarkets out there made of smoked oysters and soured cream I think or it may have been cream cheese. They are an acquired taste and you either love them or hate them!

I love these just on their own, drain the oil off on kitchen towel and they are delicious as a canape, also great wrapped in streaky bacon or pancetta and grilled quickly.

They have quite a soft texture, not at all like the raw version, so I think they would disintegrate in lots of dishes, probably best kept simple.

Hope you enjoy them.
