What about a Thirties or Forties Theme? a bit of research should come up with some ideas for food..just an idea.
Champagne jellies go down a treat, you can do these in glasses, Asda or others sell "value" ones great for this..and they look lovely so simple to do as well!
Actually Salmon on roasted vegetables,
Chicken portions on Lemon Potatoes, and veg.,
Little Goat's Cheeses on a mix of veg and little oven roasted potatoes and veg..
There you go Smile Smile

ppy, choco fondue sounds great, may brings back some of mater & paters memories of the '70s fondue nights'(a trendy thing to do back then) I wonder how many fondue sets that generation have languishing in some dark loft space. Is it just good choc melted & single cream for the choc sauce?(& of course, booze of our choice)
Salmon & roasted veg will go down a treat, I just love roasted veg at any time.
Camembert is great, have you tried pouring white wine into the slots with the garlic? once done like this, never to served any other way, hungry thinking about it.
keep the suggestions coming, loving them all even if they can't all be used on the day, I am sure I will have some fun trying them out.

why not do a few large trays of oven roasted veg topped with pieces of fresh salmon. Really tasty and soooooo easy to do. Hardley any preparation apart from washing and cutting the veg and tossing in olive oil. Once veg is nearly cooked, lay the pieces of salmon on top and cook for another ten mins. Voila!!!!!!!

You could make sum cajun wedjes.
all ya need is
potato/cajun sesoning/flour/veggie oil or gee.

just cut the potato in half and into half again and then half that half.sorry about the halfs being mention alot, Smile boil them, while there boiling make a mix of flour and the cajun together, until u like the taste, and fill a small bowl with the oil or gee, when the potato is dun,dip the potato in the oil/gee and then rub the mix of cajun/flour on each wedge, then put all of them on a tray, use a milk brush and gently cover the cajun wedge's with the oil/gee, put them on a oven about gas mark 5-6 until ready, and there ya go! liowen, Hi, chocolatier Paul Young I always make a HUGE chocolate fondue with vast numbers of nice things on sticks to dip.
It makes a really indulgent and trendy centre piece to a dessert table. Lace it with some booze to keep the party swinging too.
lol
