As a rule of thumb The bigger the chilli the less heat it will have but removing the seeds is a good idea have fun

Personally the hotter the chilli the happier I am Wink

Blondie is right. The Gourmet mild chilli is just right especially if you don't like it too hotlike us.I find the tins of Chilli Beans in sauce OK as well, they give the taste without the fire!!
Have you done the Chilli one with Tortilla Chips at the bottom of a dish or bowl, then your chilli on top, Sprinkle with grated Cheese and heat in the oven till cheese has melted. Top with a little dollop of Soured Cream.Simple and tasty.. one of my daughters faavourites, and she's a picky oneSmile

Spuddie, Mild green chilli, ideal for children,it's called Anaheim, a little like a pepper . You can buy them in Waitrose. Also Gourmet. this is in a paste form in a tube. It's called Gourmet Mild Chilli. Sold in most super markets. Sainsbury's sell it. I find the Gourmet very good ,it's got a good shelf life, keep in fridge. Happy shopping.SmileSmile

You can also try serving a side of sour cream with the chilli.

Back to simple old Nick again :)

What I do, is remove the white pithy part and seeds, finely chop and then fry in oil, drain and put into a jar with some oil to preserve it and hey presto, you have a good supply of lower heat chillis

Make sure you do not burn them when frying though, they go bitter
