Can anybody tell me if they have baked any of Paul's recipes in the breadmaker. How do you adjust them? I'm hopeless at traditional methods but his recipes look great.

Thanks

Thanks for replying debbie and mirandaP, yes my machine does have a dough setting and you add the water first and then all the dry ingredients, it's a kenwood BM200. Do you have to change the quantities of ingredients because it's being done in a machine? I usually just use the book with the breadmaker, I haven't got around to doing anything else.

I tried Pauls Cheese bread yesterday but adapted it for my bread maker just for the dough mix. When made I added the cheese etc and continued just like Paul did. I made sure that I gave it a good second kneading when it came out the bread maker and left it to rise for a good hour !!
Needless to say it was fantastic and it all went in one go !!
I also think Paul is so gorgeous as do many of you, the problem being I have trouble concentrating on what hes doing............thank goodness for the website !!

Ok, I admit I have used the breadmaker to mix the dough on a "few" occasions :P Have you got a dough setting on your breadmaker Carol2?

What I do is put the wet ingredients in first, then the dry (it depends on your breadmaker) and then add the rest of the ingredients 3/4 of the way through the mixing process. I take it out, give it an extra knead and then prove and shape it according to what the great man says!!

I hope this helps.
