Thread Starter: Sara322    Started: Wed 29 Oct 2003    Replies: 6

Bought something called Liquid smoke when I was on Holiday in america. It's supposed to be injected by a specail cooking syringe into meat but I can't seem to find this piece of equipment. Please has anyone heard of this before and now where I can find one?

Thank's alot!
At least I know what it's called. I have a friend in LA and I'll ask her to look for me on Amazon.
If I find out any more I'll let you all know.

Although Amazon.com do sell cajun injectors, they'd won't ship them to this country. :(

I've just done a search for them on their web site and found 7 different ones for sale! and have also had a look at their shipping restrictions policy and it says there that kitchen and house ware items can be shipped within the U.S. only.

Sorry not to be of more help.

They are called cajun injectors and are not normal syringes they have holes in different directions down the length of the needle. I first saw them on a shopping channel when one was given free with a rotisserie. I did try to buy one in this country buy could not find one. I was told that they are available on Amazon USA but do not know if they ship them here. They are advertised quite a lot on the cajun chicken sites but all seem to be in USA but I think they do ship to the UK. I don't know if this helps but at least you know what they are!

I dont know if you can purchase a specific cooking syringe, but if you go to your local Vetinary Supplies shop, and explain what you want they may oblige you.Otherwise your local Pharmacy, Doctor or nurse.
