Having been working away from home lately and staying in a place with Sky TV, I've discovered the wonderful Barefoot Contessa. What a great show. Have enjoyed it so much we're getting a Sky dish fitted next week to our home.

I too love Ina, I've put her book on my Christmas list. I made her corn cheese chowder yesterday which was shown last week, it was fantastic, and so easy. I cheated and used tinned corn but I'm sure the results were as good.

I like Nigella's chocolate mousse recipe but my local Sainsbury's has been constantly out of stock of the mini marsmallows for the last few weeks. So I tried Ina's recipe for Marsmallows yesterday which came out really well. Today I used some of them in the mousse recipe and worked perfectly.

As long as my local doesn't run out of gelatin (ing. in marsmallows) now, I'll be OK for my choccy mouse fix

I'm really missing Barefoot Contessa. I love her house and her foodie shopping trips in the Hamptons for I hope the programmers at UKTV Food bring her back with a new series in the new year.

There is a new series because I saw some when we were in the states on holiday a few weeks ago. Hope they come here soon.
I can recommend her Linzer Cookies...very very moreish!

I totally agree with you, I love her georgeous house and garden, and the guests she invites for meals. Have you noticed how much food she cooks for two people? I think it is hilarious when she does this great huge amount and along comes two friends. Do you think she has a gardener or would we believe she does it all herself.

Is there a new series "somewhere" because most of the current shows were made in 2004.

Can anyone help me please. I was watching market kitchen the other night and saw a recipe for red onion chutney, I have checked out the recipes but have had no luck I cant remember the name of the chef who was cooking it either.

I wish you could locate the recipes easily I always seem to have problems.

Look at the top of the screen on the web site you are looking at, and you will see http, then a colon, then 2 forward slashes, followed by the 'address'. Right click on the this, which will highlight the website address, and a box will appear, click on Copy. Go to the message you are posting and right click where you want your link to be, the box will appear again and you select paste. Hope that is clear PB. Difficult to explain, but easy to do.

im really missing the barefoot contessa, ina was part of my morning routinue, every programme was a joy to watch and every receipe i have tried was just gorgeous, the turkey lasagne is delicious and lower fat, i love the shops, her house, geoffrey, the whole package, please bring back ina uktv food

wouldnt a barefoot contessa christmas special be great, something like nigellas christmas kitchen last year, but with Inas take on things, and also very interesting to see all the trad american preperations too

Barefoot Contessa is back on next week. There is one called " A Barefoot Contessa Holiday"on Monday at 6pm and two others at 5pm & 5.30pm.
