We start in the City of Rheims, where Joan of Arc famously met the French king - and where James and Frenchman Daniel now encounter juicy local lamb, smoked garlic and a colourful selection of mushrooms in the local market.

In Episode Two, Lawrence Keogh joins James in the city of Troyes where he’s been tasting traditional prune liqueur - Prunelle de Troyes- brewed by the monks since the middle ages.

Episode 3

Episode 3 finds James off the beaten track in Aix en Othe. Just in time to catch the local early morning market, he and Lawrence find some fresh guinea fowl which they take back to the trailer to prepare along with a cheese platter to die for.

After a very fruitful stop off on the high sloping sun-drenched vineyards, James and Daniel taste and partake in the Champagne grape harvest. Using fresh fish from the local market James the boys get cooking.

In the final episode of the series - James visits a vast "pick your own" farm where he finds mouth-watering apples. Back at the trailer, parked up in a lush field, James prepares a very French apple tart.
