Filipino in Earls Court

Over the past 20 years, the number of Filipinos living and working in the UK has increased by an incredible 833% from roughly 18,000 in 1986 to more than 150,000 in 2006. Of this figure, about 70% live in the Greater London area.

The Filipino community is best known for its contribution to the NHS as many new émigrés arrive from the Philippines healthcare sector. Unlike other communities in London, there isn't a recognised Filipino area in the Capital. However, you can find a cluster of restaurants and supermarkets around Earls Court and Victoria
