Hi Gail, I just saw your reply to Michael, regarding the whole chicken. I must admit, I have seen other people have said that they have put a whole chicken in the pot and cooked it without any liquid!! I will try your way and put some stock in with it, I am too scared to leave it cooking whilst I am at work but I will cook it overnight. What I wanted to ask you is, do you you leave it on low or high? (they are the only two settings I have).

I have just started to use the slow cooker I bought last year in a sale. I clicked onto this web site and it gave me so many recipes to choose from. The very first thing I cooked in it, was a rice pudding, I got the recipe from here, I made too much to begin with but I will alter the ingredients accordingly. I can honestly say that it was absolutely delicious!! Today I did a beef curry, really enjoyed it but I put too much curry powder in it, the beef was so tender that it just fell apart when the fork touched it. I cant wait to experiment with something else over the week end. Thanks to everybody who sent in so many lovely recipes.
