slow cooker recipes

Oooo.

Also, I know the water-bath thing was strange, but, really, if anyone has an idea if this would be viable or not please chime in!

Aaand, does anyone have (or have a cook book with) a recipe for mussels done in the slow cooker?

Hi David,

Super quick! Thanks for the link, I actually saw it earlier whilst browsing what the net had to offer and thought it was the most promising of some of the sites I'd seen (not just saying that).

I'm attempting beef in beer tomorrow. My other half is away DJing tonight so I'll pretend to be domestic goddess and hope that it is as impossible to ruin food in a slow cooker as everyone seems to think.

Just about to join your site now. Thanks again.

PS Your site is looking fine on the Mac I'm using.

slow cooker recipes

Hi All,

Absolutely loved reading through this thread. My lovely man, Jay, is a complete foodie and we've just got a slow cooker. Some of the recipes look awesome! Got a couple of queries. Does anyone have any good chicken curry, bolognese (without jarred sauce), mild chilli con carne recipes? Also any good juicy veggie recipes?

Also, odd query, and if we try it and it works, I will definitely share, but is anyone familiar with Heston Blumenthal's technique of cooking meat vac-packed in a water bath? We were wondering if we'd be able to use a slow cooker as just that. We've got a feeling it would work, but obviously we don't have a vac-packer, but I have faith in cling-film, and lots of it!

Hope you are all well and enjoying your slow cookers!
