Jamie Oliver makes Brazil’s national cocktail with zingy lime juice, sugar and cachaça.

Ingredients

  • 8 limes
  • 8 tbsp caster sugar
  • 400ml cachaça
  • 4 large handful crushed ice

Method

1. Cut the limes into wedges.

2. Add to a large jug with the sugar and bash well with the end of a rolling pin to release the juices.

3. Add the cachaça and mix well, then divide between 4 tall glasses. Fill each glass up to the top with crushed ice and enjoy!

Hello, I refer to the comment about the recipe for the cocktail being wrong. I went to Brazil 2 years ago and each time I had one it was served as per Jamie's recipe, so if that is incorrect, how should it be served?

The creator of this wonderful cocktail musti be turning inside his/her cofin. This recipe is wrong and outrageous.
