Method

1. Preheat oven to 150C. Grease a loaf tin or spray with non-stick spray.
2. Beat together the butter, sugar and eggs. Combine the mashed bananas with the mixture.
3. Add the baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour. Stir until well blended.
4. Pour into the prepared loaf tin. Bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes until the cake has risen and is golden. It is ready when a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Be careful not to overbake, or the bread will dry out.
5. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack. While the bread is still slightly warm, put it in a plastic bag or wrap with foil or cling film. The heat will help to keep the bread moist. Slice to serve.

I have made banana bread before,but this was the best recipe I have used.The bread was moist and I used freshly picked bananas from my tree in Spain!!

This bread was fantastic the kids loved it so did the adults and if a plonker like me can make it so can anyone else.

scrummy cake what i did was half the mix into 2 differant tins then when they where cooked put then together with butter cream in the middle my family loved it,butter cream 4 ozs butter 10ozs iceing suger 4 cream gone within minutes

I made this Wednesday morning, it was gone by teatime! I added some chopped walnuts, delicious and so moist!
