Matthew Fort jazzes up a simple baked beans with chunks of potato and hot bubbling cheese

Ingredients

  • 800g Potatoes, such as Maris Piper
  • 2 x 400g tins baked beans
  • 400g Cheddar, Lancashire or Cheshire cheese
  • cooked pork Sausages, to serve

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 190C/gas 5.

2. Boil the potatoes until cooked though. Drain and peel off their skins. Cut into chunks.

3. Open the tins of baked beans and pour their contents into a baking dish. Arrange the potatoes on top and grate over the cheese.

4. Pop into oven for 15–20 minutes, until the top is a seething magma of molten cheese and the baked beans are bubbling. Serve with sausages.

The man is talking about student food, infact it shows that he sees food from the basic to the complex, who better to be a judge

And this is one of the people who is deciding Britain's best menu?

They should have got someone from McDonalds onto that show, they'd have stormed home with Matthew if he cooks things like this at home.
