Cherryade

Method

 
1. Place the cherries, vanilla pod, sugar and water into a saucepan. Cover with a lid and bring to the boil, then remove lid and continue to boil until the cherries are soft.

2. Remove the vanilla pod, then transfer the mixture to a food processor and blend until smooth. Leave to cool.

3. To make the cherryade, add 2 tablespoons of purée to a glass of carbonated water.

250g Cherries, washed and stoned
4 tbsp caster sugar
2 tbsp water
1 litre carbonated water
1 vanilla pod, split
