With a base of beef consommé, flavoured with Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and sherry, Tom Parker Bowles' cocktail is not for the faint-hearted

Ingredients

  • 200ml beef consommé
  • 40ml Sherry
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch Salt

Method

1. Mix the beef consommé, sherry, lemon juice, Tabasco, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and salt together. Pour into a glass filled with ice.

2. Alternatively, serve it hot by bringing the consommé almost to the boil and stirring in the remaining ingredients. Serve with sausages and mustard.
