Sloe gin
Method
2. Shake the bottle every few days for the next 4-6 weeks.
3. Add two-thirds of the bottle of gin, put the lid on again, shake and leave for 3 months, shaking regularly.
4. Decant the liquid and strain into smaller bottles, filling them about 2/3 full.
5. Taste and decide how much gin you want to add to each bottle as a top up. Put a stopper in each bottle.
Cook's note: Sloe Gin makes a great alternative to cassis in Kir Royale.
Prep:
20 min, plus 4 - 5 months resting time
