Rachel Allen gives steak a fiery kick with a good dollop of homemade horseradish sauce
Ingredients
For the horseradish sauce
- 3 tbsp grated horseradish
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 225 ml softly whipped Cream
For the steak
- 1 fillet steak
- Olive oil, for frying
Method
1. For the horseradish sauce: mix the grated horseradish with the white wine vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, salt, pepper, and sugar. Gently fold in the softly whipped cream.2. For the steak: fry the steak in a little olive oil for a couple of minutes on each side, or until done to your liking. Serve with the horseradish sauce.
