Strawberries in beaujolais

Method

 
1. Put the strawberries into a bowl. Sprinkle over the sugar then pour over enough wine to just cover them.

2. Leave to macerate for ½ to 1 hour.

3. Spoon into four bowls and serve with crème fraîche.

450g Strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/2 bottle Beaujolais wine
4 tbsp caster sugar
200ml crème fraîche
