Soda bread

Method

 
1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and knead well for 5 minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 220C/gas 7.

3. Shape the dough into a ball and place on the lined baking tray.

4. Bake for 25 minutes at 220C/gas 7.

5. Cool on a wire rack.

Ingredients

450g rice flour
25g soft margarine
1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
pinch Salt
250ml Buttermilk
1 large egg, beaten
