Butter and a dash of lemon juice bring out the full flavour of broad beans in this simple side dish from Ed Baines

Broad beans

Method

 
1. Bring a pan of water to the boil.

2. Add the beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until just cooked and drain.

3. Return the beans to the pot and stir in the butter. Season with salt, pepper and a dash of lemon juice. Serve.
