Ingredients
For the turnovers
- 8 large Granny Smith Apples
- 1 tsp ground Cinnamon
- 3 Lemons, juice only
- 125g raisins
- 1 pinch ground Cloves
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 60g artificial sweetener
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 6 flour tortillas
For the sauce
- 250ml vanilla Soya milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 190ml fat-free Soured cream
- 1 tsp artificial sweetener
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/gas 4. Peel and core the apples, slice them thinly and tip into a bowl with all the remaining turnover ingredients, except the wraps.2. Spread the mixture out on a baking dish and cook for 30 minutes, until the apples are tender. Leave to cool and use to fill the tortilla wraps. Roll-up into cigar shapes.
3. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together and chill for 5 minutes or so.
4. Pour the sauce over the turnovers and serve.
