Cook a quick meal with Matthew Drennan's tasty sitr-fry, which combines tender steak with a flavourful citrus sauce
Ingredients
- 650 g sirloin steaks, trimmed and cut into strips
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 clove Garlic, chopped
- 1 Oranges, juice
- 1 dash of dark Soy sauce
- 1 bunch Spring onions, chopped
- 2 packets noodles, ideally Chinese
Method
1. Toss the steak in a little corn flour.2. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan. Stir-fry beef strips in small batches for about 2 minutes, until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
3. Add the garlic, orange juice and soy sauce and bring to the boil. Return the beef to the pan, add the spring onions and heat through.
4. Meanwhile, cook the noodles in a large pan of boiling water following packet instructions. Tip into a colander and drain.
5. Serve the beef on a bed of piping-hot cooked noodles.
